ASP Assignment April 26

In bad discussion, I felt that everyone can't communicate with others in
speaking and listening. And someone don't have own opinions and ideas.
Someone try to speak more than other people.I noticed that bad discussion is made by force.
In good discussion, I felt that everyone listen to what teacher is explaining.
And everyone share own opinions and ideas. A leader ask someone for opinion,
and add comments. I noticed that everyone can communicate with others
by making eye contact and talking about.
I think that everyone have to communicate with others by not only talking about
but also making eyecontact to make good discussion. Important thing are that everyone
insist own opinion, tell what other people are thinking and ask others for opinion
if we can't know what other people are thinking

Three topics of the discussion.
1: What is good discussion and bad discussion?

Good discussion

Everyone talk about own opinions and ideas.
Don't be shy to talk about.
Not too noisy.
The volume of the voice is proper.
Everyone give some comments to other opinion.
A leader gives some suggestions to others.
Ask someone for opinion.

Bad discussion

Silence
Only particular persons talk about.
Someone criticize others without explaining nothing.
Nobody receive reply to other opinions.
Everyone agree with others opinions without thinking.
Leave own role to other people.

2:Japan should start teaching English from Elementary school
every day.

Our group disagree with this idea.
There are some reasons.
Elementary schoolchild can't understand why they have to study English.
In Japan, teachers who teach English are not enough now.
By teaching English from the beginning of Elementary school,
children may hate English if they can't enjoy studying English.
We can improve English skills from junior high school.
Elementary schoolchild don't study Japanese well,
so they may be confused by studying English.
Elementary schoolchild can learn many things
by playing with friends, having a conversation and doing favorite activities
and so on.


But, there are agreements with this idea.
Elementary schoolchild don't be shy to speaking English.
Studying English can extend schoolchild's possibilities.

3:The age of consent should be 18 in Japan.

Our group disagree with this idea.
If we live at home with family, we can't leave alone. So, we are not adults.
Our mental is like children.
We need to know social structure.
We can't decide which age is adult.

ARW Blogging Assignment 2

The thesis statement I've chosen for Essay 1 is the following:

Students can study more effectively by learning how to refresh themselves
in various ways including talking with someone and laughing, taking a rest,
and feeling nature.

How do good college teachers present information?

According to Meiland, a good college teacher presents information in the following the way.
By discussing, examining and talking about the basis of current beliefs, teacher presents them.Good teacher focuses on understanding the material. So, teacher take materials as beliefs or conclusions reached through investigation, and students can get the information.
I agree with Miland's opinion because I feel that good teacher focus on discussing, investigating, examining and so on in the class. I think these things are needed to approach the material of the problem. And good college teacher's way encourages to extend the my possibility.
